Beginner Drawbacks

When you first start playing poker you are going to be up against a lot. After all, new players are going to have to prove themselves time and time again. The fact of the matter is that if you are not willing to fight through the tough times you might as well take a step back. Starting a poker career is hard to do, and you need to be able to persevere time and time again. There was a time when the professionals that you see on television were new players just like you. They had to pay their dues as a newbie, and if you want to get to the same level as them you should follow suit.

The first drawback that you are sure to face is frustration. New players are going to lose time and time again, and will probably feel like quitting. You should make sure that this frustration does not get to you. If it does there is a good chance that you will quit the game of poker before you ever give it a fair chance. Quitting is not going to get you anywhere, and in the end you will probably be disappointed if you give up early on.

Another thing that you will have to deal with is other players looking down on you because you are a new poker player. When other players get the feeling that you are a new player they will try to use this against you. While this may work as far as some players are concerned, you should not let this happen to you. If other players want to take their time to try to intimidate you, more power to them. You need to make sure that you keep a close eye on what you are doing, and ignore everything else. This will work to your favor in the end!

And of course, you need to consider that you are going to lose money as a new poker player. There is nowhere around this, and it is something that every player has to deal with. And remember, even the best players in the world lose money. This is part of the game that you cannot avoid. If you do not want to risk losing money then poker is not right for you.

Sure, there are some drawbacks of starting a poker career. But you should not let these hold you down. Instead, you should become familiar with these drawbacks so that you can better deal with them as they come up.
